Overall, we did not have a good experience at this hotel and would not recommend.
Pros: The rooms were clean and modern and the breakfast has great allergen friendly options (gluten free, etc.). Parking was ample and free.
Issues: The hotel’s restaurant was closed for the duration of our stay and there is really nothing much else walkable from the hotel that is open (no bars, cafes, etc.). The pool and spa were also closed during our stay. The hotel only offered wine tours and other bookings via a third party company. We had to do the research to find wineries, spa, etc on our own.
We were given restaurant recommendations from the hotel staff that were not valid - one wasn’t open that day and the other was just completely closed for the week.
Finally an issue at check in by the hotel staff left us unnecessarily paying for an extra night (only 120 euros but the constant follow ups throughout made for a stressful stay). Hyatt did agree the issues we experienced were hotel staff related and proactively provided us with some points offsetting the additional cost and for the difficulties and wasted time dealing with the hotel staff.
Ideally, I’d just look for another hotel in a slightly busier nearby town. If you do stay, I’d recommend booking via the cheapest third party website. They had 20-30% lower prices than booking with the hotel direct, SLH or Hyatt for our stay and the extra $$ spent wasn’t of help when issues arose.
Recently renovated luxury hotel, very clean and well appointed.
Plenty of parking for large vehicles, such as SUVs.
Bed very comfortable, bathroom was large.
TV in our room did not have Netflix or screen mirroring which was a shame.
Swimming pool is a nice size, seems well maintained and clean. The trees could be cut in such a way to allow evening sun for longer.
We only stayed one night in order to break up a long drive, however there seemed to be lots of activities to undertake whilst staying at the hotel, such as biking, golf, walking etc.
The attached restaurant is superb. We had the 7 course taster menu and the food was exceptional, seemed like a bit of a hidden gem.
Rooms are luxurious. The staff were amazing with helping us find a last minute driver for the day as our biking vineyard tour was rained off! Breakfast was 5/5 - a great variety to suit all.
The property is great but it's the little things that ruin the luxury. The pool wasn't heated or cleaned, the spa is a joke (the sauna area was closed), there was no availability at the restaurant while we were there and very little else in the area. The biggest complaint is with the e-bike rental and wine tasting from the hotel. One of the bike chain would fall off constantly and the seats were wildly uncomfortable. Not what one would expect from a 50 euro rental. The winery tasting was 42 euro pp and didn't include a tour of the vineyards or property. We complained about the bike upon returning it but we're not offered a refund or anything besides a "sorry to hear that".
Pros: House wine was nice, staff was friendly, beds are comfortable
What a charming hotel in Veneto! We landed in Venice and so happy we chose to relax in this quiet little town. After spending the morning in Treviso, we drove another 30 minutes or so where we were warmly greeted by the staff. Their pool …
Unfortunately a bad experience. The hotel is beautiful, nice renovated rooms, good restaurant, just a bad experience with the management and staff. We have been here before and had a good experience.
Because we think the location and surroundings are very beautiful, we planned to organize our wedding at Soligo in June 2024. We have been working for several months now to receive prices, options and availability. It is always someone else's fault why there is no response to our emails. Even after several telephone consultations, there is unfortunately no offer or response to emails.
We have now continued to look for other wedding locations and unfortunately we had to remove this location from our list.
If communication is not possible, what about organizing an entire weekend? So be careful if you want to organize something here.
Charming, nicely renovated villa. Perfect for a weekend stay. The only complaint one might have is that there is no counter in a bathroom to put on toiletries and that the mattress was quite hard.
The original villa is lovely, as was the welcoming staff. We opted for a "suite" in the nearby building. We were able to park our car in front of our room. The "suite", however, was disappointing in that it was very small, with the …
Beautiful exterior and friendly staff. Layout is a little difficult to navigate. The gym needs some improvement. It was easy to get there by bus from the train station. And we were also able to walk to all of the wineres, uf you don't mind 30-60 min walk. This whole area is not at all touristy so they are clearly not used to it.
Restaurant is incredible, although there was no English menu.
My daughter and I are visiting Italy and based ourselves in Treviso - to escape the heat we chose to book a couple of nights at Hotel Villa Soligo and so pleased that we did ! A quick train ride from Treviso to Cornegliano (which looked …
